In a second marriage, it is often important to let children know how much they are loved along with their importance in the marriage and all that is to follow. For this reason, a Family Medallion Ceremony is available for you.
After the bride and groom exchange wedding rings, the minister will call on the child(ren) to come forward and will talk about their role in the marriage and how important they are to you. The medallions will then be presented. Normally, the non-biological parent will place the medallion on the child(ren) as a symbol of bringing them into the new family.
The medallion comes in silver or gold plated. This beautiful charm is placed on a chain that is presented to your child(ren) during the ceremony. Ask your coordinator for details.
